Richard A. Balch MBA, CFP®, CLU®, RICP®, LACP
Investment Advisor Representative
Richard’s career started with the navy and then later working for a large manufacturing firm. Those years gave him the frustrating experience of not understanding all the myriad aspects of investing, taxes, saving for a college, saving for a retirement, and managing finances on a day-to-day setting. He translates his experiences into an appreciation of the value of what an advisor offers clients.
The desire to understand financial planning for his family soon evolved into a passion to help others and led him to join his father, the founder of Woodmen Financial Resources.
Ten years and extensive experience later, Richard works with over 400 clients of different ages and financial situations each year, meeting most of them in person. He’s taken and passed a national certification that makes him a certificate holder of the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®). He’s also nationally licensed as a stockbroker (Series 7) and investment advisor representative (Series 66).
Other education includes a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hawai’i and holding a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) life insurance designation from the American College.
Richard is nationally recognized as a Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT) Top of the Table for the last 4 years, and has qualified as a member of MDRT for 6 years.
Outside of his career Richard loves being a father and husband and is very involved in networking and volunteering in his community as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, veteran’s causes, boater safety education, and promoting ethical and professional development in his industry. Richard is also an avid sailor and enjoys bringing his friends out on his sail boat on the bay of Green Bay.
